FAQ -
Burning in Arms

I sometimes feel a slight burning sensation, without the heat, in my arms after I have spent alot of time working at my computer. What’s going on?

- The sensation you describe may be caused by moving your arms too little, thus allowing the normal toxic byproducts of muscle metabolism to build in your arm tissues. Try this: Raise your arms up over your head and shake them. Also try rubbing your arms firmly, stroking from your fingers up toward your heart to encourage better circulation. Drink lots of water to flush harmful toxins out of your tissues.

It's also very helpful to simply rest your arms in your lap until all the burning sensations are gone. This is a great technique to use at the end of your workday, after you have arrived home. This gives sore and tired tissues time to regroup, calm down and relax after a long day of strained activity.
